Yoga with Jennica
The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root yuj, which means “to join” or “to yoke”. Yoga is the union or integration of body, breath, and consciousness, which some experience as spiritual. Yoga is a very ancient practice based on balancing the physical body, as well as the mind and spirit. Those who practice yoga often experience lightness, peace and calm, as well as feeling “at home” in the body. Yoga provides an excellent means of strengthening the body, as well as creating flexibility in the spine and connective tissues. There is a common misconception that you must be flexible to practice yoga. Yoga is not only for the spiritual crowd of those who have flexible bodies. Yoga is a practice for everyone and anyone.
Private or Semi Private Sessions
Private or semi private sessions allow students to explore specific areas of yoga that are of interest including: alignment, philosophy, postures, variations, breath work, and meditation. Private sessions are also an excellent way to address issues such as chronic pain and injuries in a comfortable setting. Newcomers to yoga find one-on-one or semi private classes to be a helpful way to learn the basics in a supportive and comfortable atmosphere. I strive to help each student reach personal goals while creating a dynamic learning experience. Each session will allow you to experience yourself through mindful movement, meditation, and presence practice. Beginners can learn the basics and develop a personal practice while advanced yoga practitioners can take their practice to new depths.

Yoga for Backs: Tuesday mornings, 9:30AM-10:30AM. This class is designed to help strengthen and stretch appropriate muscle groups in order to address common back issues.
